Red Socks Day

Red Socks Day is held on the last day of Term 2 each year. The Sir Peter Blake Trust are the recipients of the money raised by selling socks to the Junior School students. Following in the tradition of wearing red socks started by Sir Peter during the 1995 America’s Cup the whole Junior School is resplendent in red throughout the day.

The Red Socks Assembly provides the opportunity to celebrate leadership and recognise one student in the school who has demonstrated outstanding leadership qualities. The Young Leader Award prize pack they receive includes a medal and certificate, along with the recognition in front of their peers of their leadership skills.

There is no doubt that Red Socks Day is one of the more colourful days on the Kristin calendar.
